How to install TeamViewer in Ubuntu?

How to install TeamViewer in Ubuntu

Before you start downloading the package make sure packages and the local package database is updated. Use the following command to update the packages installed on your system.

sudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade

Press y and then enter if it asks for confirmation.

Now use the given command in your terminal to download the .deb package of TeamViewer on your system.

wget https://download.teamviewer.com/download/linux/teamviewer_amd64.deb

Alternatively, you can visit the official website of the TeamViewer application and download the Linux 64 bit .deb package from the download section.

Once it gets downloaded use the following command to install it on your system-

sudo apt install ./teamviewer_amd64.deb

When prompted for confirmation type y and then enter to continue the installation.

Launch the TeamViewer application

To start this application go to the activities dashboard and then search for teamviewer when its icon appears click on it to open the application.

The next window will display the license agreement of TeamViewer mark I accept the EULA and the DPA and then click on Continue.

Now to make a remote connection with a user either you provide them your TeamViewer ID and password or take their ID and password and enter it in the Insert partner ID field.
